It doesnt matter what the dog does to a caged anything.this will not make it a better hunter, except for maybe make the dog agressive towards things between itself and a cage, including other dogs. i just got a runnin walker from kansas. a very famous coon hunter brought the dog over for me, but didnt have much good to say about the dog. he said he showed it a caged coon and a house cat and it didnt act interested. i told him i wasnt worried about it, that it meant nothing. he didnt say much but i could tell he thought i was full of sh!t. That night, which was two night ago, i took the pup and my older dog annie hunting. Annie struck the track, which happened to be a fox. I put her out on it and in a couple minutes the fox was jumped and runnin. i turned the pup loose and she cut right to the race. In less than a minute she was right with annie screamin her head off. About two hours later the fox was treed. when i got there both dogs were hammerin down hard. Shot the fox in the tail and out it came. They both made quick work of it with the help of penny, another runnin pup. to say the least i was extremely excited. this proved to me that training a dog on anything caged is not needed and leads to more bad then good.

Buster.........JMO, Why did you let that person take your dog? It's sounds like he told you he was leaving his untrained dog with you! Is he working 7 days a week? Is his legs broke? Man up and stand up to people and you keep "YOUR" dog at "YOUR" house!!!!!!! People will use you and abuse you if you let them!
