Not sure why you got the (good luck
) from BARTAMENKO? But if you cant find one you might want to get on http://www.taxidermy.net/forum/index.php
If they dont have one on there I know that theres a spot for wanted stuff on there to.

Re: wanted bear hide
The colorado trappers association is having thier yearly fur auction next month in Hugo, CO. There will be dozens of green bear hides there that you can pick up for around $40-$80. I think the average price last year was around $50. These hides are road kill and confiscated hides from the DOW and are frozen.

G H C : I agree with others check with some taxidermy shops . some guys have 1/2 wall mounts done leaving 1/2 the hide to be disposed with , could be cheaper for you , That is where we get our drags from . I don't think it matters to the hounds which end they are smelling
Good Luck

Good idea Bob, just remember to tell the taxidermist you need the hide before it is tanned!

Shawn, it is Feb. 10-11 in Hugo at the Fairgrounds. You can send your furs ahead of time to sell before Feb. 4th to Bill Curns, 719 749-2151. The auction starts in town at the VFW hall on thurs at 1 (it usually lasts till 8 or 9). Thurs will be the auction for all the tanned furs, DOW carcasses (bears and lions) and also antlers. Fri at 8am is the auction for all the raw furs.
