More Coon Hunting in the day time with the trigg dogs
Another day time coon hunt that turned out some pretty cool pictures. Just my boy, a good friend and good dogs. Doesnt get any better than that. Also took my walker pup I got from Hoff. This is his 4th hunt. He is trailing and treeing by himself. He is showing that he has a good nose on him. Trailing coons that walked the nite before. Not a tremendous feat as its wet muddy ground but I'm impressed that a 10 month old pup is willing to cross water thats a foot deep, fight nast thick berry bushes just to stick his nose in an old track. And boy what a mouth he's got. Drowns out everthing else. If he keeps it up he is going to make a dog.

BEAR HUNTER that looks really similar to the terrain i hunt alot of blackberries and nasty swampy creek bottom, there alot of big oak trees though big big oak trees makes it hard to spot em sometimes. Never really coon hunted in the day time sounds like fun i might have to give it a shot. Have a good one.

If you have the berry bushes the coons den up in them. Especially in the summer time. We usually leave the house at about 8 am. Our last dump is usually about noon. Always start a coon. I never would have believed it till my huntin partner showed me.
