My question is where to I find the definition of my rights. I use volunteer for the women in the order program that was put on by Ca f&g. Until I got harassed by some wardens @ Ft Hunter ligget for no just cause. We had just got done pig hunting and was putting thing away in the truck. A warden drove up and block our passage then asked us to step away from the vehicle. He did not ask my friend whom was hunting with. Automatically I knew he was racial profiling me. But he search my truck tried to go through my stuff I was afraid he was going to try and plant something. I called the F&g warden who was my contact for the women in the outdoor program and told her I will no longer or will volunteer for your program.

the U.S Constitution. If you want to know case law get a copy of the Legal Source Book. They are available at most uniform shops. Do a google search on THE PEOPLE VS BOUHN MAIKHIO and print out the decision. Read it and carry it with you. Let the warden know he doesnt have a right to search your vehicle.

Here in Oregon my doorbell rang and it was State Fish and Game Officer. He asked me if any bowhunters lived in my house. I said yes me and my 12 year old son. He then asked me to produce our arrows for his inspection. He also asked me where I had hunted. Then, he asked me for my license and tag. I had already filled my tag on a buck. I told him I'm not hunting, I'm at my house and haven't done anything wrong. He then told me that I must produce what he requests. I got mad and told him to arrest me or leave. So, he left and went over to my ex wife's house and questioned my 12 year old son and made him cry. I found out later the officer had found a deer with an arrow in it next to a legal hunting area and it was during open hunting season. What made me upset is that he lied saying I had to produce my license and tag. I was thinking what if it was a driving violation? Can he come to my house and ask for my drivers license just because he heard I drive without some proof it was linked to me? And I was mad about what he did to my son, but his mother allowed it not me. Our laws do say something about making your best effort to recover wounded game. But, him launching an investigation into a dead deer during open season and trying to violate my rights was nuts. I called and filed a complaint with his boss. When officers get out of line it is more serious a crime than any violation because it undermines the public image and respect for authority.

Also, why should we carry any papers? If the officer doesn't know the laws, do you really think he's going to be educated on the spot?

Sounds like they never had the right to start with. It just took someone to run it throught the legal system and get a ruling. Lets all continue the fight to preserve our constitution right. Freedom is removed in small bit's
