[quote="bob baldwin jr"]OO Buck : Be very leary of carrying a spotlight in your cab after dark or letting your hounds get out to chase deer . You are right on the border of " Harrassing Wildlife " I would be willing to bet money if Fish and Game caught you than YOU WOULD be issued a Summons .

Whats with being stopped and searched and the whole deal taking a "Couple Hours" :?:[/quo
It is perfectly legal to spotlight deer within the certain dates before and after hunting seoson, im guessing its the same were u live. But when i get pulled over its not a quick deal..... twice the gamewardens came and when they look through your whole truck and box and check everything out it takes allong time. 3 times it was over an hour and a half. once over 2 hours.

And all of u guys are talking about guns in school, But i never have my gun with me in my truck. The only times i hhave guns in my truck is when im going hunting and there never at school in my truck. Its kind of hard to shoot people in a school with the bullets in my clip and no gun. 1/2 the hunting i do is started from my truck. There isnt enough raccoons around me to just go out in the woods and find them, My spotlight is pretty handy.

I have been pulled over by decent cops to, They ask "what are u doing" and ill just say looking for deer or raccoons and they will just say ok and leave me alone.

I have worked for everything i have. I work everyday after school and all summer and pay for all my own stuff. I pay for all my dogfood, shots evrything i just bought my own truck last april and i bought a snowmobile 2 weeks ago. So your theory on i dont care about the things i have is way off. Kids that work are not extinct there just not that many around. I bet not allot of kids nowadays dont buy all of there own school lunch..... But i do everyday and i dont care.

THERE IS JUST ONE THING TO DO AND THAT IS KEEP YOUR NOSE CLEAN & YOUR HEAD UP. AS MUCH AS IT MAKES YOU MAD DON'T DO ANYTHING TO GIVE THE COPS REASON TO HASSAL YOU. I WOULD NOT LIKE BEING HASSALED EITHER, ALL IT DOES IS BREED CONTEMPT FOR THE LAW. SOME ARE GOOD AND SOME, YOU KNOW THE TYPE SHAVED HEADS, SUN GLASSES, BROAD BRIMED HAT TOUCHING THIER NOSE. THOSE GUYS WOULD TICKET THEIR GRANDMOTHER FOR GETTING OUT OF BED TOO LATE IN THE MORNING.

LIKE I SAID KEEP YOUR NOSE CLEAN,YOUR HEAD UP. BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE AND I EXPECT THE COPS WILL MOVE ON. IF YOU HASSAL THEM THEY WILL RIDE YOU FOR EVER LOOKING FOR SOME CHICKEN MANURE- DANGLEING TAIL LIGHT THAT THEY CAN PINCH FOR .

OO,

I don't know about the laws in Maine, but I don't think your mom can give the police premission to search a vehicle that she has no control over. What I mean is, she is not in the vehicle. I would check with an attorney about that or at least ask. I know in VA if the driver of vehicle says no that means no. Mom can't over rule you from home. Just thought it's something to check into. Good luck and keep your nose clean.

I dont know Maine laws either but if 00Buck is a minor or the truck is in his parents name, they may have to call his parents for premission to search it.

00Buck said he bought his truck by himself, but I dont know if its his name is on the title and registration or his parents, that could make all the difference

+1

i think the more rules and regulations they put on everything makes it more of a pain in the ass so more people stop hunting and stop takin kids hunting and i believe that results in kids screwin off and causing trouble and doing drugs when they should be out enjoying the outdoors

Next time invoke your 5th, 6th and 4th ammendment rights in just that order. It really pisses them off but not much they can do after that.
