Best Age to Work Pups

When is the best time you guys thing is best to start pups, primarily for lion hunting. I am getting a new pup and wonder what all your opinions are?

I have a 8 month old pup thats been on 3 lions this year. The last one she treed overnight for 17 hours with one of my older males till I got there. Thats a huge accomplishment in my camp for a pup. She has really turned the corner and I think shes gonna make a good dog.

The sooner the better! As soon as they can keep up with the big dogs they are old enough... I start taking them at 4 months and by about 6 months they are able to keep up most of the time!

If they can't keep up that is the#1 cause of dogs babbling.
