Re: Boycotting California because of "WILD JUSTICE"
boycotting california because of a TV show is about the dumbest thing i've ever heard.
the only thing i'll agree with CAF&G is, is that the state is indeed full of poachers!
i dont got enough fingers and toes to count how many people i know of that shoot deer and whatever else without a tag or what not..but that dont mean i'll go tellin on em.
but its mostly the states fault the way i look at it, they control the prices of tags and everything else, and its through the roof! and most folks i know up there have fallen on HARD TIMES.
but if you play the rules, you got nothin to be afraid of.

It's reality TV, what do you expect?????
If they showed all hunters and anglers complying with the law, there would be no reason to watch the stupid show. I watched it the first episode where the Warden put paws on his feet, and that right there was enough for me. He was simply playing to the camera.

Thats just it we now live in a monkey see monkey do world. Once our DFG along with HSUS get this state to the point where we cant walk off a dirty path with out the right permits and you can forget about doing any type of hunting or fishing. The other states will be the next to fall its not just a California problem. As for poachers yes we have them here just as Arizona and all the other states do to. The show and the wardens need to make it a point that most bear hunters are not poachers the just because you see a rig with dog boxes in the back and they run hounds on hogs they are not poachers. We know that this is a stupid tv show made to get ratings but this is also the first time many non hunters have seen any hound hunting and if our game wardens that are paid with my tax dollars cant help promote hunting in a positve manner then they should be replaced with some that can. The taxes we pay, the money we spend to hunt and fish pay for Fish and Game if they are not representing us as we see fit they should be like any other public official removed from office.

If you boycott California because of a stupid show - regardless of how the game wardens act on there or in real life - then the Antis have won in their eyes. Now they move on to the next person to get them to quit hunting in California. Then when there is no one hunting in California, they will work on the next person in the next state until hunting is gone. That's how they operate, and they will spend unlimited amounts of funds to see it out.

Re: Boycotting California because of "WILD JUSTICE"
Hey I watched that bear hunting episode last night and that dork walkin around with the paws on his feet did in fact say that 99% of the hound guys are legal and that it was the 1% that made it bad for everyone else. And they weren't bullshi$#ing anyone with that huge gall. That wasn't going anywhere but to a buyer.Otherwise there wouldn't have been silence when he asked were was the gall.Ole so and so with the "bad knees" would have stepped righht up and said i have it and am going to use it for my knees.livetohunt wrote:Thats just it we now live in a monkey see monkey do world. Re: Boycotting California because of "WILD JUSTICE"
I sure missed him saying that all I have seen is them making every houndsmen out as a poucher and its wrong. If he did say then then I take it back all Im after is that they dont loop all hound hunters in with the few that do that stuff. I think just the same as you do on that I dont think that a gall needs to leave the woods. Yes its yours to do with what you want its your bear your tag but really how many people do you know that really use that crap? If they were all left in the woods we wouldnt have this trouble now. I dont even know why they drink it or eat it or smoke it. I dont think it does much of anything to help your knee or your dick or what ever its really used for. If they were all left in the woods smashed dont you think it could help with this Really?
Re: Boycotting California because of "WILD JUSTICE"
Ive heard them say it about the other hunters, but not the hound hunters. They are made out to be poachers, all of them, the guys with the radios in their trucks, the guys who pulled the dogs off the tree and left, even though they did nothing worng. They dont even mention anything about them obeying the law when you see the dog box at the Tahoe check point for a split second.
they implied it in the pig hunting episode, he says he looks for trucks with dog boxes in the parking lot of the Bakery. I also thought they where going to make a big deal about it when they went to the kids house that had the elk rack. They show the dogs two or three times.
What I though was funny is that they say people are not allowed to dive down in the river bottom yet there are road signs down there.

Re: Boycotting California because of "WILD JUSTICE"
Yeah, they should have cut the gall and not messed with it but I really wasn't talking about that episode. I was more talking about the last one where they went to the houndsmens camp, found them to be completely legal and still refered to them as poachers. Like they do every other hunter.

Re: Boycotting California because of "WILD JUSTICE"
Watch the episode again. I dont ever remember Warden Boyd saying 90% of houndhunters are innocent. It was said by a different warden in a different episode. As far as the gall bladder I know those boys. They took someones friend out to kill a bear. Only one knew the guy and everyone thought he had filled out his tag. Yes they should have said they had the gall but if you say they were selling it you are a LIAR and an idiot no different than boyd. The one guy does use it on his knees. So unless you know the facts other than what you saw on tv I suggest you keep your mouth shut. It is not illegal to take the gall and do what ever you want to it except sell it. I know that after that episode I will take every gall I get and give it to anyone who wants it. Untill F&G outlaws it it is my property and I will do as I please with it within the boundries of the law. Enough Said.

Re: Boycotting California because of "WILD JUSTICE"
Bearhunter, I'm not sure if you were talking to me but if you were I by no means said they were selling it. I really don't care. I just meant they should have cut it to avoid the headache. If one of them uses it, more power to them.
