Find fresh tracks and walk her on them until she takes one and then let her do what she can,if its where you can follow along do so encourging her and helping her find the track in a lose. She will get the idea and soon will be leaving you behind and burning the track if she has cat dog ability in her...frank

I agree with Cooter. Get her on hot cat tracks whenever you can. I have been doing the same with a Plott female I had started on yotes. It appears she has a preference for cats so that's what I will focus on with her. Good luck.

Also, maybe you can hook up with someone with a broke dog you can run her with.

my advise would be,never let that dog see another yote, period.if you want a cat dog, that dog must be broke, start walking up the cats till you get it jumped, pick up the looses and get the dog back on it,most dogs will run a cat when it is hot,the difference between a cat dog and a dog that will run cats is that a cat dog will learn and not make many looses, and either catch the cat, tree the cat or both the cat and dog will be so tired at the end of the day that the cat will only be a short distance in front of the dog and by the time you shoot the cat the dog will be on it.
i have spent alot of years running cats with dogs that will run a cat, when you get a cat dog,you will not want to go back to the days of walking tracks or picking up looses,as well, you will find an overwhelming amount of new friends that want to hunt with you, which is both good and not so good.
