Canadian Lynx pictures

Post by chilcotin hillbilly »

Guided a friend from Oregon with his own dogs to run on Lynx. He wanted to see a lynx in a tree. Well with a fresh dump of snow and a little luck we managed to put up 4 in three days. The dogs got their exercise and so did we. Everything from 10 minute pop ups to 3 hours marathons in crotch deep snow. Alot to pile in 3 days. Enjoy the pictures.

Yes Mike had a blast, maybe he should speak for himself as he is home now. He does have some good fast run to catch style dogs that flat out get it done. One of his dogs and one of mine was the best combonation of dogs I could have asked for. It was quite something to watch them work together. Those two young dogs of his are going to be quite a treat as well, lookout small cats everywhere. Maybe Mike can explain the difference between a bobber race and a lynx race when he gets on here.

wow....first off... thank you doug. the kindness and accomidations are first class...i got my bucket list completed. lynx in waist deep snow aren't supposed to tree? maybe look doug up and pay to see for youself....you will never find any area that has more lynx. doug you live the life! that little bench legged zoey can flat smoke!

geno...hope you are doing good in wyoming and bella is doing good on the big cats for you...and yes a pretty nice addition for bear and lion hunting with the english hound.....come out and hunt...wife says if your wife and brody doesn't come to stay home...lol

mark....don't know about that long legged dark headed female or that open spotted 8 month old pup beside her...all i know is look out cats...maybe mark has an answer? good job on both the armstrong line as well as the trw dogs...

tim...you and dewey would have a blast...you would be on the edge of the seat of your truck when you hear a wolf howl just across the road from where you just turned down..

the difference between a lynx and bobcat race is not for me to say. i haven't had enough experience on lynx to comment....bobcats however don't stay on the ground very long...thanks again to both you, julie and the mc mann family...
