Superbowl Pig (guess the Weight)
In South Texas
DC, Ron and I met and turned out shortly after daylight and made a loop in fresh sign but none of the the 3 cur dogs could line it out in the thick brush. (was nearing 75deg and dry)
Loaded the dogs and moved to the other side of the place and was about to turn out when one of the dogs winded from the top of the box and shot into the brush. We cast the other 2 bay dogs and shortly we had a solid bay.
Each of us brought a catch dog DAC brought his dogo SPANKY, Ron brought a Airedale\Pit cross and I had Rhino my AB\dogo.
They entered the woods in a flying V and had the boar immobilzed in no time. The Airedale\pit cross got one of his K-9s knocked out but no one else was injured other than a scratch SPANKY may have recieved.
Boar had nice mass but not much for teeth length, ANYONE CARE TO GUESS THE FIELD DRESSED WEIGHT?
Here he is loaded on the Mule Box
For reference keep in mind I am 235lbs
I will wait a few days and give everyone a chance to guess then I will post the weight
