i building a dog box in shop as a prodject i was wondering how thick of aluminum i should use for the walls and what should i make the frame work out of.
any thing helps

what kind of box are you trying to make? rigging box? single double? six dog rig? holes no holes?

my box is made out of 1 inch square stock and sides are 1/8 th thick if that helps any

i have built one or two and the best advice i can tell you is keep it light and simple, there is a material called di-bond look at your local sign shops thats what my box is made out and that stuff is really light and really cool stuff, its only about 80$ for a 4x8 sheet.

cole, if you go .125 or even .100 and do a good job tig welding it, you shouldnt need any supports, design is everything and there are many good dogboxes on this site, good luck and show us how it turns out when you finish. vaughn nielson

well my teacher is finaly gona let me do it I need some help with the doors its a two dog box with 1/16 dimond plate im gona drill 1in hole wat should i use to for latches
