Worst thing that ever happened to the breed was being accepted into UKC as a coonhound, IMHO.


Sorry about that. What are they? I thought the Catahoula and American Leopard dog were the same.

:) No biggie. No they are completely different breeds. But no point ticking the Catahoula guys off. :)

Well, I just spent the past 20 minutes doing internet searches to try to prove you wrong. And being the internet, I can admit that I am wrong. So that's easy.
I really thought the Catahoula Leopard Hound, (cur or dog), was the same as the American Leopard Hound, but they are not. Please forgive me...but if we ever see each other in public, I will deny everything! :D

:lol: It's no problem, plenty of fellas will argue they are the same breed. Like I said before it's no biggie at all.

Hey Fred, when are you going to put that Idaho hound permit to good use? I bet those leopards would like to trail a cat or lion. We got fresh snow here for the weekend...
