To many coyotes, how to feed bobcats?

No personal experience with this, but this is what I've heard will work to deter coyotes and wolves. Tie the bait up in the tree like you mentioned. Much like they do in Africa for leopards and lions. Also, hanging the bait off the ground from a wire so it swings allegedly keeps them at bay. Add plenty of human piss comlpiments of the thermos of coffee you drank while driving around shooting canines. Freshen up often...

Up here in northern Maine we are inundated with the coyote Bastards. The fur ain't worth a crap , Trappers claim they would be better off working a minimum wage job. They would be $$$ ahead Even the coyote contests in limited areas don't seem to be putting a dent in the population. Moose calves , Deer Fawns , Snow-shoe rabbits seem to be almost non existant. I know the coyotes are everywhere now ,but I have not seen Maine like this in 45+ years of hunting . Does NOT seem to affect the bears though. Deer hunters ,Trappers , Bird hunters shoot the bastards and let them lie. good to see you using the deer heads for bobcat bait Very common practice up here. I won't mention names but it is also common practice by some to wire tie a Large Treble Hook to the hanging deer heards about 3 feet off the ground .Seems like the Bobbers like to feed off off a limb ,while the Yotes will jump on their hind legs to grab a piece of meat , No problem as long as your HOOKS are SHARP

Buy ya a hundred good cam lock snares and after your cat season is over spend a few weeks snaring coyotes. We snare them call them shoot them on site. They even give permits to shoot them out of helicopters here and there still everywhere. Most people have know idea how hard coyotes are on a deer herd.

Jason I've seen the Gov.Hunters flying up here to its wild and the'll wipe out a spot in a week from what i've seen.
