The all day cat!

Post by Marshall »

Well my good buddy jimmy decided he didnt want to deal with all the snow that you guys in the valley are getting and wanted to come over to the eastern side where a guy can still get around. He got to my place saturday night and we got after this very same cat that night i do believe and it flat educated us! Sunday day consisted of us driving a total of 216 miles without one single track to be seen and then sunday night we decided to head out again and we did manage to get after a coon but it swam the big deschutes and the dogs didnt want to fallow (dont blame them). I convinced jimmy to stay monday and we headed out early and finially cut this cat coming out of the rock pile that we put it in 2 days prior. This was at 9 A.M. So we kick Playboy (his dog) Huck, and Gritty (My dogs) loose and they start trailing it and Huck is not opening very much and hes a pretty open mouthed dog. Well we cold trail it into some cross country skiers and they kindly point us in the right direction lol (nice people). Well to make a long story short we let out at 9 and they were at mile marker 4 up the mtn and they went 3 miles or so north then back across the main road at around the 1/2 mile mark and then about 2 miles south of the main road, this cat wondered about 10 flippin miles. This was a cold trail the entire time. The dogs ended up treeing this cat about 400 yds from a paved road and about 900 yds from hwy 97! To close for comfert! When it was all said and done they cold trailed this cat for 8 hours and im not sure if they didnt just trail it up to this tree. Hope you enjoy the pics

Tell me about it man. I wonder how long that will take to heal? So when is this nevada trip? I can always make time. You think you got some trash runners then you will love this pack of culls we haul around. Jimmy, you down for another road trip buddy? Tony, are you gonna make it? Make sure to bring victor and shea. What about the prospector? Lets make this a yearly deal fellas.
