next best thing to being there, your camera handler does excellent work, pretty hard to video and ride at the same time. Great job all around . The animals , dogs , people , country and production. Makes for just a really excellent video. Good pic's and story . I'm envious .
I can make 'em go and I can make 'em Whoa !

Cavebear,

Most of the mules we have were pretty broke when we got them. Each of them are different. Each have different tolerances... I am by no means a mule expert, so some of the others on here that have more mule experience may chime in. When it comes to dogs, the mules that I've seen that have an issue with dogs, only have an issue due to lack of exposure. Once the mules figure out that the dogs aren't going to hurt them, they get over it. The only way to do that is to expose them to dogs. Letting mules and dogs roam around loosely may not be the best way of introducing the two, but after the introduction, I think it helps for the mules to always be around them. They'll get over it, just like they do everything else. And if they don't? ....well.... we don't want 'em...they earn their keep around here by being able to do anything we ask... and if they do, they get used... a lot.

Good luck!

That was such a beautiful hunt. How cool was that to cowboy up to that lion on a rock? I can't see anyone watching this and not want to experience a hunt like that. Great job dogs and guys.

Tyler and Donnie like I said on face book and in text to Donnie that cat had to be the most perfect cat I've seen. I am not for sure about this but I may have been the first guy to ride shagy old Dewey with a lion on his back. When Deven killed that big old tomon new years eve day. It all started as a joke from my brother Mark and Donnie and Deven. Because I had not been horse back in a few years so they said I had to ride Dewey. You know what that shagy beast of a mule is a good ride. A bit wide to set on but he never stumbled once and he was dead set to not be last in line.a great pack of mules and an even greater pack of hounds. And baily what a diva. She sure likes t be in the photo shoot. That is for sure. I have never seen a dog work so hard to find that scent as baily. Great stuff guys.

Jade.

Tyler,

I will be back down there to ride them long ears again with you for long. Hard to stay away from such pretty country, and let me tell you I have hunted a lot places and with a lot of hunters and you won't find better mules or hounds than these. Also these guys hunt as hard as anybody and get the job done right.

Anyone who has not experienced traditional lion hunting in the southwest at it's best do yourself a favor and book with Chasintail Outfitters these are super fine folks!
