Another Opinion Question

I was wondering what most of you think about wind. How windy is too windy to run dogs as far as scent is concerned? What part does moisture play into it? I always figured that if there was recent precipitation that the wind won't blow the scent away as easily as it would in very low humidity? What do you all think. Thanks.

Wind will affect a cat more than any other weather , cats use their eyes and ears more than their noses so when the wind is blowing and you cant hear anything, the trees,brush and grasses are moving the cats usualy are not moving. But I have always said what makes sence to us and the way we think a animal should act is always overpowered by hunger

I don't think it effects coon hunting much. Idk I've always done decent hunting on windy nights. I just don't like the wind because it sometimes makes it hard to hear the dogs.

I would think that the moisture would make it even worse in the wind because the wind usually drys thing out in doing that the sent will evaporate with the moisture. I have cought lions in conditions that I thought I would never cacth them in and have run lions in conditions that what I thought were good and not cought them your dogs will let you know. I think we all waste time thinking of things that arent as importent as others and should consitrate on the things that matter most like how to tell you wife your going hunting agian.
