One eyed lion

Post by Brent Sinclair »

Not sure how this old female is managing, but she's fat as a tick and seems to be gettin along quit well considering the loss of one eye.
We captured her last week and placed a GPS collar on her.
I'm sure the data collected over the next year will tell alot about her ability to hunt and kill.
We have her on a 15 minute fix so can follow her movements real close.

Do you have any idea of what might have happened to her?

She will do fine as long as she keeps hunting in left handed circles! :D

Kinda amazing how animals will adapt to the lose of an eye or limb, tough critters.

Looks nasty, cant be pleasant.
Recently killed a big tom that was tore to shreds and blind in one eye... clouded over though not swollen and abscessed like that.
