BLUE VALENTINE
BLUE VALENTINE
This got covered in the Hancock/Driftwood thread a little however I thought I'd ask who is breeding/using heavy blue valentine. and what line is showing the best personality bone combo.
Re: BLUE VALENTINE
I would go right to the source. Yet the source is close to me, less than fifty miles. Chip Merritt's dad, Hyde owned Blue Valentine and after Hyde's death Chip took over with the horse. Randy Dunn over in Laramie, Wyoming has a lot of that breeding as does Dick Van Pelt, who also lives in the Laramie area. Distance may be a factor from Arizona but if interested you could PM me and I would track down some phone numbers for you.
Re: BLUE VALENTINE
Hagerman has those blood lines.

Re: BLUE VALENTINE
blue valentine originated down here in SE AZ. and was used as a stud here often. I'm not looking for a real bulldog style but still want the bone feet etc. there are some nice offspring scattered around locating a stud is a bit more difficult. Is Hagerman breeding?
Re: BLUE VALENTINE
Yes he is. I'll call him and tell him to get off his butt and look you up.

Pegleg, there is a guy right there near you that has some good Blue Valentine blood. I will holler at him and get you his info if you if you want. He's good friends of Jerry Jeppson at Crowheart, WY. Jerry's web site is wyohancockhorses.net.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need the other guys info.

Oiler coach Bum Phillips when asked why he takes his wife on all the road trips.
Phillips: “Because she is too damn ugly to kiss good-bye.”
Not sure if it's true, just funnier than hell. A been there done that moment.

Im in southern Utah and have a line bred Blue Valentine stud. I have a buddy that has a 3 yr old gelding out of this horse that is for sale if interested. He is a hell of a nice looking, heavy boned colt. Wont go wrong with the Blue Valentines.
