I have ran there the last 3 years. There is always alot of houndsmen there but Last year there was a shit pile of houndsmen in there and the bears go slaughtered in the spring. We didnt get many in the summer, needless to say. Was the worst year of bear hunting we have ever had. Planning to try somewhere else this year.
I went up there 7 times last year and had 4 wolf encounters all on different trips.

There will probably be alot of snow around memorial day weekend. It would be tough to get around, most years.
Don't buy the hype.

I dont even try to hunt until the last week of may because of the snow. I have seen a lot of wolf sign in that area. Last year there were so many hound hunters that you couldnt hardly hunt unless you had access to private property.
