Drove up to listen and they were next to me in the brush not 20yards away. Here is where I needed Sean to stick the camera in and film the action while I got the catch dog ready(would have been GOOD footage)
Turned Rhino loose and he latched the large pig and got it controled. I legged it and noticed it was a sow but felt like I was lifting a black 55gal drum full of water.
Instead of sticking her I opted to flip her and tie her up. This is where I felt like I was professional Hog Tier MIKE BOLEN. I wish I would have had some Mule tape becuase her hoofs here so large I almost didnt get the hobbles on her! Drug her out with the Mule and pulled her up the ramp into the back of the truck. Then drove to Calvins to put her in a Stock trailer where she was later hauled to a offical buying station. I guess I am just a whimp or she was full of helium but they payed Calvin for 215lbs(maybe they didnt want to pay as much and there scale is light, maybe I am just getting whimpy?) All that for only a measly $78
went to load up the mule and the dogs left into the wind again from the same spot where the sow was caught. Never moved the Mule and walked the catch dogs into the next bay. I could see a hog shape with only my Jagd Kat baying her solo and watch both white dogs Rhino and Angus Torpedo her from each side. Another sow 90lbs dressed weight. I could hear the 2 curs still baying behind us so we knived her and sent the catch dogs on.
Got another sow weighed 95lbs dressed weight.
I dropped the other sow off at that orphans home to feed some hungary kiddos.
Got home in time to have a Romantic Dinner with my Honey!
