East Idaho Units! Need Help!

Post by ONE_TON »

To all who hunt, have hunted or know some eho hunts units 64, 65, 66, 66A, 67, 69, 76.

My 13 year old boy wants to get a bear bad. I have got a couple hounds, and a lot of fine folks off this site have helped outfit him with some gear. The plan was to set up some bait and run the dogs off the bait. I just dont know to start. I know, just get out and look for sign. Normally I wouldnt have a problem spending countless hours in the woods scouting. But my wife is six months pregnent and we have a 13 month little boy, so she needs help at as much as possible.
If you dont want to give up your "hunny hole" on here, PM me. I can keep a secret!

Or if you run hounds and dont mind a very eager 13 year old and a couple extra dogs coming along it would be greatly appriciated. We have been invited by a couple good folks, but they are on the other side of the state, or way up north. But with fuel prices and the the need for help at home we need to stay as close as possible.

Thanks for any help we can get and God Bless, and good luck to everyone.

It will be some time before you can get much of anywhere . we are still getting more snow and not losing any . But McCoy creek area or swan valley area . Hiese is another but is most crowded than any other place around S.E Idaho . No Matter from where you are you are going to have to travel over an hour to get hunting.
CB Kennels " Color Blind Kennels " haha

Smiley, ya we found that out today! We drove out past Soda Springs to Wayan. We couldnt believe the amount of snow. We did see a couple folks pulling out with hounds and snowmobiles. Its going to be a few more weeks isnt it?

So besides all the snow around, and the fact that its going to be a few more weeks before the bears are going to be out. Where are some good spots to go?

Thanks.
