Also new to bear hunting

Hey guys.
I went on my first bear hunting trip 2 years ago, and now I'm addicted to hunting with hounds.
I got 2 dogs last year (walker and a plot) and was able to run a couple of bears and coons with some friends.
I live in shasta county, ca and I am alawys looking for someone to go hunting with so I can learn more. I have my own truck and dog box or I could split the costs with someone else.

Hi there, I hunted McCloud back in 1965 when there were so many bear, a hunter could shoot all he wanted off the city dump. I later went back in 1985 and treed a few for some freinds of mine. You have some very good hunting grounds where you live and shouldn't have any trouble finding someone to hunt with. After learning some very hard lessons, I started hunting with only my hounds and my problems with trashy races went away. I can tell you for sure, you'll have fewer problems and more fun when you stop hunting with other guys hounds, esspecially if you don't know what they are like. If you want to hunt bear, then hunt bear only, so your hounds know what you expect from them. Happy hunting from Pete in Klamath Falls, OR.
