New from Bama

Post by Cur'n Plott Man »

This site seems to be very informative so I want to be a member. I have enjoyed reading all the posts ! I am originally from central Florida but I have been in south Alabama for the last 20+ yrs. I was raised by a dogman and have taught my son the same. I have hunted deer, coon, and hogs with dogs all my life. I own Plotts, Curs, and Pits. My Plotts are weems and pocahontas breed, the weems is down from Sizzlin Heat. My Curs are old style Cats and some that I have bred for what I personally like. The Pits are from Cherokee game lines. I have hunted hogs from south Fl. to Kaui, Hi. I hope to learn some things from all of you !

Hey bama I'm an avid coonhunter and love the sport I also bowhunt whitetail and do a lot of fishing as well I have 2 walker hounds a 10 year old male and a 10 month old pup. He's a work in progess but is coming along nicely I train him alomost every day and my old dog helps out a great deal as well my folks never really hunted jus my gandpa so I've had 2 teach myself a lot. I've always wanted 2 hunt hogs I think it would be a blast!

Hi Curr'n plott man welcome to BGH. CasB has curs and plotts here in Pennsylvania. I believe he has some pocohontas plotts (me I can't spell pocohontas so I wouldn't go that route. :) )He's always looking to talk hounds when it comes to Curs and Plotts. Right now he's got a good plott that runs bobs pretty well and a bunch of young pups from her he's just starting among others. I give him a heck of a hard time about Curs and plotts not being "hounds" and that Brindle is not a color, but I've been impressed with his "hounds". He and I hunt in the same group of folks. So we tend to make the same mistakes!! LOL Welcome, Paul Conway
