Texas hunters
Texas hunters
Does anyone on this forum run bobcat or know any one in the northwest part of Texas that does? I'm new to this and would like to find someone experienced to go do some hunting with.

When you say NW, what area or town are you close to? I know several guys but most are somewhat of loners. Get back with me and we will visit.
Adios,

Hey Gary I live in Spur, which is about 70 miles east and a little south of Lubbock, but I'd be willing to do a little driving to find someone that I can go with.

Andy
I am familiar with Spur and have hunted around there and Dickens on several occasions. I am also friends with Eric Swenson there at the bank in Spur. He is a great guy.
I have a very good friend that is up in age but in excellent condition that hunts north of Snyder. He is somewhat of a loner and does not like to hunt with just anyone so I am hesitant to give his name.
He has good hounds but having a tough time catching a cat now as it is so dry in his area. What do you do around Spur? Do you have any hounds and what do you hunt? The reason that I ask these questions is because that is what this gentleman is going to ask me.
Thanks,
Gary

Re: Texas hunters
I work for a cotton farmer. The only hound I have right now is a pup, a 7/8 black and tan 1/8 walker female, she's only about three and half months old though. I had another really nice walker pup that I got from Jeff Allen but she got killed when she jumped out of the back of the pickup. It's more expensive than I figured to just get some dogs and go hit the woods so I'm hoping I can find someone that would be willing to show me the way and help me get young dogs going.
