peanut butter it will stick to the trigger flap of a catchem alive trap which will get them to set it off.a clever coon alot of times will reach in and pick the food out without touching the trigger .

also as far as the skunks would putting the trap up off the ground like on a level surface for the trap that the coon could climb up to.it may keep the skunks from getting into it. i dont know if skunks are much for climbing or not just a thought.i like to put something flat and fairly heavy on top of a live trap to.

I always use hard dog food to catch my coons it always seems to work for me. But I'm sure any of the others mentioned are just as good.

Cosmo, 55 gallon jug of water works great to drown it unless you want to get closer and flip a sheet over your trap and undo the latch to the door and flip the trap over so the door stays open and run like h*ll
After the tail gate
drops the bull shit stops ,
you run em hard tree em harder
