New Guy, Girl, and Pup

Hey everyone! Here's my story ... I'm 23 and have never hunted much. My dad's from Vietnam so he had never hunted (other than from a helicopter) so I never had a chance to get into it. We've gone on the deer hunt with friends, but never anything too serious. My girlfriend (Sammi) and her family are die-hards so that was my chance to get into it. She bought me a 300WinMag for Valentines day and the addiction began. Already put over a hundred rounds through it! Put in for all the non-dog hunts this fall, as well as pursuit tags. We bought my first hound at the Utah Houndsmen Banquet a few months ago (blue tick walker), but my Sammi's been running dogs her whole life. I'm looking forward to advice, stories, and good times from the other members on the forum!!

You beter hold on to that gal shes a keeper one out every 10 hound dogers wives or girfrends are into dogs/hunting. the other 9 just put up with the dogs/hunting .

Thanks guys! Ya she's a keeper for sure...and officially is today!! On our one year anniversary (today) I dropped the big question!!! Here's a photo of the ring! I took her up to our little lake near our house and put it on the pup's collar, then sent him her way! She thought I bought him a tracking collar because of the way the box was hanging, then I got down, took it off, and asked!

very good point cor if u find a wife that enjoys every sport you like you will never have any free time. just gotta find one that will put up with all of it lol

Haha...Thanks guys!! I'm glad she's into all of it (even more so than me!) I never have to justify going out or send her out shopping while I play, instead we just go to Sportsmans together then head for the hills!!
