Ike, I call him my "Posse Dog" ...Tessa called that dog Ozzie. You ever hunt with that one by chance?

I really liked mine right up until he got bit and he's now too blind to run again. He was doing real well. Has a good nose and tons of drive. Great disposition and handles great. Even though he is still young, I liked him enough that I now keep him around the house. Hoping to get a pup out of him one day.

First off I think I have a right to say a few things here since I am the topic. I will direct this to anyone that has no idea where Ireland is. It is a small island that is located between the Atlantic and Irish Sea. Google Earth is an awesome site if you need to learn about geography people!

Secondly, Ike you need to take a few steps back here. If you want to take credit for my dogs or my success in hunting then you might have actually hunted with me. I seem to remember when I went to Utah all those years ago you made every excuse in the book not to let me hunt with you. Infact you never even said thank you when Shawn and I picked up your dogs off the road. Sure you let me breed Sandy to your dog. and I said thank you for that. It was a fine cross and Lola and Sully turned out to be good hounds. I think that Sandy's part in that had a lot to do with it, plus the fact that I hunted those pups hard and they are still hunting hard with the owners they are with. As for Big Red, well he was a decent hound to say the least, but I would not say he was finished at 3 yrs old when I got him. I hunted him hard and was a good one, but he was not a producer to say the least. Infact only a couple of his pups turned out to be decent. I will be the first to say that. As every houndsman knows that it is a trail and error thing when breeding hounds.
As for Ozzy goes, now there is a hound I can say is outstanding. I am so glad Onza has him as I know he will be hunted and apppreciated. I think he was the best I have ever had out of all my hounds. He was the spitting image of his father Charlie in all ways. Do I need to mention Charlie was Sandy's sire, Scarlett's sire, and Ozzy's sire. Hmmm seems to me he was a producer and his Piute Mtn bloodlines have had a huge success for over 30 years. Have you been hunting that long Ike? Sure Shawn lent me his gyp to breed to Charlie and boy it was a good cross. I remember you telling me how you thought Syreach was a pile of junk. Hmmm maybe you need to do some more stepping back off your high horse here. Do not try to take credit on my breeding program when my most successfull crosses are bloodlines you had NOTHING to do with.
Just to let you boys know I may have sold my dogs and hunting gear as things in my life have changed a bit. I did however keep my PROVEN Piute Mtn gyp Scarlett to breed or hunt if I ever get the inclination to do so. I am still actively involed with cougar conservation and management. Whether I am here or in Ireland, which has many fine packs of hounds I will always be involed in hounds and cougars in some way. I have made a few really good lifelong friends over the years I do not need to mention names, but you know who you are. Thanks
Hope I was able to clear all that up for you lads.

BTW a certain 3 of you are the biggest blowhards I have ever seen and really need to get a life.

I guess you aren't counting the hours and hours you spend on these websites sharing your "expertise" as you call it with anyone who will listen?

Not doing that anymore huh? Starting when? Right now? Our loss I guess.

Don't think there's anything wrong with em Ike. Sounds like a smart guy to me. You quoted it yourself.

I am not going to split hairs with you Ike, I have always said thank you and given you credit where credit is due, but my gosh after 6 or 7 years you would think that I would not have to bow down and kiss the ground you walk on. Just remember that you bought Ike and you did not develope the line of dog he comes out of. When was the last time you gave Harold Hoffmeister the undying praise that you want and expect? That is the difference between you and me Ike. I have always given credit to the people whom I have gotten my bloodlines from. If you look on my website I list that my dogs come from Piute Mtn, Labrum and Hoffmeister stock. That is what makes my Big Horn Posse line. They way you talk about your dog it is like you gave birth to him yourself and it was all you that made the dog what he is. Well, I can honestly say I am humbley grateful for the people that have helped me along the way. But I doubt you will get that. So being as the Oscars was on last night and since you have a flare for the dramatics I will thank all the people that have helped make me and my dogs the success they are today. lol

First, I would like to thank my parents for raising me to be the lady I have become today and allowing me to watch all those Wild America TV shows when I was a kid.

Secondly, I would like to thank my ex husband for giving me my first lion hound a B&T named Daisy. God rest her soul as she was killed in South America chasing Jags.

Third, I would like to thank Brent S. for bringing the Piute Mtn bloodlines out from California 20 or 30 years ago and for hunting with me and showing me where the cats can be found here in the Bighorns. He knows how much I appreciate his help and has never asked me to bow down and give him praise for anything he has done to help me over the years. Here's to you Lionman!! ;)

Forth, I would like to thank all the hounds I have had and breed over the years. To them I am indebted to no end. I spent many days and nights with them on the mountain. I learned much more from them than they ever did from me. To them I am eternally greatfull. :)

Next I would like to thank my kids for putting up with me spending so much time on the mountain. I could not ask for better more patient kids. They are real troopers. Even if they had to walk ten hours straight with me off the mountain at night. Thanks boys. :)

Lastly I would like to thank all those that I have met and done business over the years with. I have made some awesome friends that I will always cherish. Steve, Anthony, Brent M, Brent S, Dean, Shawn, Matt, and many many more. Oh yes and my wonderful fiancee whom has always supported me. You are the best Brendan. Did I forget anyone? I do not want to overlook anyone here. I mean none of you guys have ever wanted me to sing your praises over and over for the last 6 or 7 years. Then again true friends know that they are loved and appreciated.
