well our bear season started here in ny and we had some good runs. the 1st day we pulled the hounds off a bear, he was getting into the forbiddin zone. today we treed this one, he didn`t stay up long when we showed up.

how do you run bears in new york? All i can read in the reg book is that it is a no no to run bears with dogs. Do ya have to get a permit. Be a new york res or what.sorry if this is a dumb ques but i havent been able to read other wise i have buds that go up and do it but im lost.

yes you need a speical training permit to run bears in ny. we do not have a kill season with hounds, but we do get some nuisance permits.
