Mine do that too. When I am out free casting them sometimes they stop and take a bite of the new mountain grass coming up. I think it aids in their digestion.

Bella will sometimes throw up after she eats it, but Ozzy doesn't. Now, I caught Puma eating on some dead Sunday when we were up on the mountain and ate some grass not long after she then threw up on Onza in the cab of the pickup on the way home, dead, grass and all. I know too much information.

I feed them Diamond Sporting Dog formula and it keeps them in good condition. I think they may be due for a worming since they have been getting into dead stuff. Onza also has a nasty habit of eating scat. Likes old lion scat out of scratches and coyote scat the best, but caught him eating deer and rock chuck droppings a time or two. Need to break the pups off these nasty habits.

It's pretty common for dogs to eat grass. The grass coats their stomach and seems to soothe it.Not sure why they do this but they do.I used to think it was because their stomach was upset but i have had a few dogs do this and they had nothing wrong with them. Some dogs will throw up after eating grass so maybe there is some sort of medical remedy in relation to there grazing. I would'nt worry too much about it, let them graze.Maybe they know something we don't.

i believe when a dog eats grass its from to much acid in their stomach. ive seen dogs puke yellow and i think thats acid, i dont believe a dog eating grass will hurt em any.
