I agree we gotta stick together as hunters/houndsmen and inhooe when the time comes we can. I still would like to know how the speed diff if any turned into this. Lol sorry if I got this thread going and offended people I honestly was not sure if there was much or any diff. After going out a few more times I think a dogs heart has as much to do as most other parts. How bad he wants it! I've enjoyed this thread and thanks for the PM's. Now I just need to find a good dog to buy.

Larry you get an A+ for your creativity! keep it coming I can take it. I especially like how you quote my posts, but cut off the rest of what I say so that it reads the way you want it to. you should be a polotition, or do liberal media.lol

I find Houndnem's honesty refreshing.

You would be crazy to listen to the plott guy who says his pack is better than blueticks and even crazier listening to the bluetick man who says his pack is better than plotts! Ha. I don't think I've seen a pure blue dog or a pure plott that would outdo my plott bluetick crosses or my walker bluetick crosses. Not saying pure breeds aren't worth a crap, I just think there might be a better walker or such out there that your blue or brindle guys couldn't even hang with. Just don't let someone elses mind make yours up. Hunt with all the hounds and houndsman you can and you'll soon figure out everyones full of bs! Ha. Just keep an open mind and good luck.

REZ YOU HIT ON THE MARK. I have a Redbone/plott female and she will run circles around Plott male. But they all have different speacialties My catahoula male is faster and stronger fighting a hog if needed.

Well i had my first experience with a couple plotts, THEY WERE NOT FROM CATCH THO. WERE NOT!! They were from a fellow in catro valley CA. They were FREE so that may of had alot to do with it. They were supposably started and one was doing good striking and trailing baying good and would pull fur. They were really fast roading down the road, never got the opportunity to hunt them. They were dog aggresive and fighting alligators they are no longer here!!! So my first experience was not a good one as they were both aggresive fighting machines. And that is something i will not tolerate for a split second.
PS they were littter mate brothers around 2 years old.
