Re: Coyotes
boarhunter-A couple good stags are a coyotes worst nightmare...but they dont have to be 100lbs, and odds are real slim they would be IW.
Are those your dogs?
Take care.

Re: Coyotes
Coyotes are not big or strong they just try to act tough. I have heard of greyhounds being. You just need a dog that can run fast for distance. I had a lab puppy get attacked by a coyote and the puppy brought me the dead body of coyote. That was a retrieving dog
You do not need a big dog at all just fast because coyotes run when confronted.

Coyotes up North can get up to 60#.
They are not a pushover by any means and not like the 30# animals Ive seen in CA and AZ
And no, those were not my dogs, I dont own any racing stag hounds.
Wish I lived in country where I could..

Re: Coyotes
My uncle used to run greyhounds on coyotes when I was a kid. One greyhound on a coyote and they'd have to scrap a little, but two would stretch one out pretty quick. This was in South Dakota, we have some pretty decent sized coyotes out there.
