How many of you put your name tags on all your tracking and shock collars? Reson for my asking is I used to do the same thing a couple years ago and had a dog out overnight and got a call the next afternoon from a lady that had found my dog wandering through the camp ground up by the Grand Canyon and she pulled my telemtry collar off to get my phone number and went in her trailer to call me and the dog ran off. Now with no tracking collar that worked ie: gps was out of battery. I never did recover that dog nor did I get any more calls the only thing I got was my telemtry collar back. Now I only put my name on the dogs collar and no tracking devices. expensive lesson learned

Re: name tags on collars
I just got a new e-collar system, and will be getting name plates on them soon. I have them on all my tracking collars, as well as the regular collars on the dogs. I lost one of my collars this winter, and about 3 months later, it was found, right where I thought I lost it, but could not find myself. That saved me some money. That sucks to hear about what happened to that dog, though. Freak things do happen.

Re: name tags on collars
I was thinking about getting some made up for my tracking collars the read.
"do not remove from dog under penalty of law"
As it is right now I have them on every collar my dogs wear. I too have gotten collars back after being lost for some time due to the name tags.

Re: name tags on collars
If I am going to loose a tracking collar so be it but sure dont want a dog lost because of no tracking device. If they run off with no regular collar I can at least still find them
