New to Hound Hunting.From Fresno,Ca

Hi! My name is Charity and my husband name is Stephen. We are new to hunting with Hounds. I used to train Herding dogs, so this is all new to me:(We just bought two male Bluetick CoonHounds. The first one is Stonewall Jackson, he is 5 months old. He is not reg but his mom was and she is from the Jet Lines. Our other one is Johnny Reb he is 3 months old. He is reg with UKC, his is parents were imported from Alabama and North Carolina to out here. Both of the dog's parents hunt Bear and Bobcat out here. We just found a Hound Hunting group that we are going to join and a older man that's going to help us train them. Any info you can give us is greatly appreciated!!!! I am trying to learn as much as my brain can hold. lol

LOL you are going to find out real quick that hound aren't as smart as herding dogs. But it is a lot of fun when it all comes together and you're standing under your dogs first tree.
