Post by duke7581 »

$35 for a 40# of Diamond Naturals Extreme Athlete

I have my pups on Purina ONE Lamb/Rice $34 for 44# at Sam's, they were too fat on the Extreme Athlete.

Thats a little cheaper than what I pay($41/40#) but that diamond Naturals Extreme Athlete is like Crack for dogs...I tried this stuff last winter when I was having trouble keeping weight on them running everyday and hell when we got home at midnight after a good day they still tore out of there like I just turned them out of the kennel @ 0330 after a week off. As well as maintained weight. I don't feed it straight but cut in in gradually as needed + a hand full in the AM before I load them in the trailer. Firm believer in the Diamond Brand.

I always think I can save a few dollars and try a new food, or food with bigger bags, or new stuff with a lot of "hype", none of them are as good as the Extreme Athlete. If you honestly feed it only, at the amount you should, it's the best food on the market. I feed my dogs when hunting in the winter no more than three to four 8oz. cups a day. I do feed twice a day, that helps keep weight on dogs too. In the summer I am feeding all the dogs two 8oz. cups a day. I can feed 10 dogs (that includes the pups) for just over a week on a 40# bag. Like I said I switched the pups cause I am lazy and like to "free feed" them, I was dumping about six to eight cups for them a day and they are so fat is disgusting... LOL Now I just fill up the pan once a day, and they aren't so stinkin fat!

I feed the. Dimond performance at 35 to 38 dollars per 40 just depends on how bad they want to screw met that week lol I only feed 2 8oz cups to one dog and 1 1/2 to the rest a 40 pound bag last me about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks feeding 8 dogs I really like it! I like the extreme athlete but its more then this for only 2 more percent of protien

27$ for a 40# bag of kirkland signature. This is by far the best bang for the buck. I'm feeding 26/18. Dogs look great and are energetic.

I like the diamond food high priced but I switched to sport mix high protein and my dogs looked starved with in a week of feeding it and was feeding 5 to 6 cups compared to my 1 1/2 to 2 cups of diamond performance
