rig platform

Post by live to hunt »

I am working on a new rig platform and was wanting to know what would be the best height for the top rail that you snap dogs too. I was thinking something like 18" to 20" inches is that about right? :?: :?:

measure your dogs. i never built that, but i think im gonna do that before spring time. im gonna measure my dogs from the top of their front legs, so they can stand their comfortably ready to strike.

strike rail

Have it hit the upper half of their chest. It can get pretty wild up there. They will be less likly to bail off while still chained up if its a little taller. Good luck.

hey the onlyest thing i`d change/well add is to drill wholes in the plattform top and secure eye looped boltd sticken up on the decking too so you can atacl short stay-snapp too dogs collars an so the can`t fall out an over the top an no listenind to chains travel an scratchen-off paint om rack sidr racks . Also keep ther front feet from goen over onto truck roof top. but that a good looken sunner dof=g box allright an sturdy built with great metal streight an simple but very clean looken/oatten that one before herritage custome dog box builders does/get yuor investment back from dog box dealerships !
that is carpett over metal plated top for decking/right ?
