Put the intensity level dial on the transmitter to a number (1,2,3,4,5,or6) doesnt' make any difference.
Match the color of the collar strap to the same color of button on the transmitter. Turn the collar on, as the collar is blinking, press and hold the on/off switch down. At the same time press and hold down the button on your transmitter that matches your collar. Hold your collar and transmitter buttons down, at the same time, from 5 to 10 seconds, you will hear one long beep and then two shorter beeps and then the collar will turn off. They should be matched up. To double check, turn the collar back on then press the button on the transmitter. If it matched up the light on your collar should light up when the button on your transmitter is pressed down. Hope this is understandable. Robbie

Dirtydan,

I can't answer that on the second one. I would just try to add it, like you did the first one and see what happens. I don't beleive it will hurt anything even if it doesn't match up.
If it is an exp collar, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Robbie,
I guess what I was getting at is that my older collar needed to be turned on from the transmitter itself in which I have lost. So now I have no way of using the on/off switch in the process of linking to my new unit that the on off switch is on the actual collar. I appreciate the help as I am far from advanced when it comes to technology.

Dirtydan,

I understand now what your talking about. No, I don't think this older collar is going to match up with your new transmitter. It has to be a EXP (expandable) collar in order to link or match up to the transmitter. Sorry this one didn't work. Robbie
