Pretty good season so far

This was the bear we got on the first day of the Maine hound season. Willie,Bonnie and Alie had it bayed up in a swamp. 350lbs.

This was also shot the first week. Sis,Duke,Big black and Alie treed it. 200 lbs.

This one we got on the second week. The client shot it crossing the road, Duke,Sis and Black were the closest to it. Willie, Bonnie and Alie were quite a ways behind. 388lbs

This week we got this one, also shot crossing the road. My dogs were on it all morning and then we put my brothers dogs in because mine were wearing down and his dogs were on it when the client shot it. 382 lbs.

Thanks Bob. The only other ones was a sow with small cubs that we pulled the dogs off. I use cameras on my baits and try to only run big bears.

spruce : Running the big ones are the only way to FLY. Put the hounds out last week ,tracks looked good size .Ran it about 2 hours before it treed ,Big feet ,small body ,Would have had to put the thumb on the scale to make it go 150 lbs Gathered up the hounds and hiked back to the truck . 9-10 chases this year NO KILLS . Looking for that mystical 400 lbder
