Looking for good coondog in wisconsin got two little boys that are coon crazy and want to shot some coon. I only have bear and cat dogs and dont care to run them on coon. So any help on locating one would be great. Thanks

As a general rule, any dog that will run a coon will run a bear and vice versa. When I lived down south we would run the same dogs on both. You wont normally have to worry about a coon race interrupting your daytime hunts. This is just my opinion. Just do whatever you need to so you can spend more time with your kids and help them develope an interest in hunting.

Good luck!!!

Problem is, in Wis we generally run off baits and there's usually a few coon come into the bait after the bear hits it. I wouldn't let my hounds run coon either just because of that.
