I put up and sell every coon we take. I had to get a state trapping Lic. but it was more then worth it. Last yr my best coon I got $28 and the lowest was $5 or $6. It was a great way to get the family into the sport even more my wife does most of the skinning and fleshing. The kids love being out in the fur shed helping out as much as they can as well.

I agree, even if they are only given a few dollars per hide you should try and sell them, Here in OKLAHOMA we are only allowed to harvest 40 coon per year, but at $5 to $10 bucks a hide...hey you can still buy some extra dog food or just save it all for gas money or another Garmin collar. If you leave them in the woods its like leaving money on the ground...lol...Good Hunting

Thanks

Its not hard you have to set up and take a test. I found all the info online read it over a few times and took the test passed the first time I took it. Most of the stuff on the test is more ADC type stuff then trapping so study up on that and the disease and tracks and you will do fine. The Lic. is good for one yr and ran around $100.00 once you take and pass the test you dont have to retake it and it was free to take the test.
