? for the guy's that have cooked there receivers

How many have you guy have burnt there receiver up without the roof mounted antenna and only the unit antenna ?

Trying to find out what is safe to do.

I have used the handheld at a full 5 watts right next to the reciever.
No problem at all.
I dont trust the truck radio on hi so i set it on low, or turn the reciever off to use it on hi .
