Coon Chewed the hell outta my pups Face.

He put a hell of a fit up with a big 33 lb Boar Coon till they killed him. But this pup is 11 months Black n Tan Cur Cross Pups with no Quit.

Anyhow the side of his face is now swelling from one of the bite areas.

Thaught maybe I should give him some Penecilin G What do you think.

I sprayed Blue Coat Antiseptic on it. Seems like it my be draining.

Yes, get some Penn G in him and it should show improvement within 12-20 hours.

U should get an anaroebic antibiotic. Coon bites tend to have anerobes. U can tell by pushing around the swollen area and if u fell popping like rubbing bubble wrapmit is an aneroebic infection and PNC wont touch it. Metronidazole is what i use. The PNC V used to b really good but there are several things out there that your dog looks better and then a few days later the swelling is back. If u can see the openning and the dog will let you i would flush the wound and try and keep the punture spots open to allow for the puss and fluid to drain.
