Wherever his office is. They should give you a copy. If not check with the DA's office.

I wish you guys good luck. Just understand going into it that more than likely you are going to spend more money than the cost of the ticket fighting it. I personally hope you do fight it and win. I wish everyone that gets the bad end of a ticket when it comes to huntin and fishin could fight them and win, it might change the number of bs tickets written.

Do some research and find out how to file harassment charges against the park ranger for lack of cause. I know with fish and game they have there own form to file a complaint.

I saw your dad right after he got the ticket up there. He explained to me what happenned. Pretty rediculous for sure. A misdermeaner is a big deal. I know you will fight it and do well. The ranger had no proof of what he was accussing him of. I also remember last year when we had to get the dogs out of the national forest from the park access. The lady ranger was ok, but the guy was a prick for sure. Good luck. Get the report for sure that wil help you understand his position and give you info you need to win.

if anything he is just going to get a public offender...pretty sure it wont be a hard one to fight, since its such a bogus ticket. but who knows. we will just have to wait and see.

Re: Here's one for the books!
yea, i just asked him about talking to you. and yea the lady ranger is fine and nice when shes by herself, but when the guy ranger is around when shes there, its a whole different story, like you remember. just hoping we can win this. they are just harrassing so many hunters because they think they can get away with it, and that the hunter will just pay the fine and go on their way....maybe this will help that ranger not be so "ticket friendly". but who knows!! we can only hope!!!

If we don't stand up for our selves and fight these things when they happen then these ticket happy ass holes will keep writing, I know a lot of the time when guys get a ticket they will pay the fine and move on because in the long run it's cheaper and easier to pay and be done with it, I know Kieth and Lori have fought for a long and expensive time, but when your right you have to stand up for your self and not just roll over!

Re: Here's one for the books!
Have you asked for help? I personally know one board member, seems like a very sincere and dedicated individual. Not trying to start an argument, actually exactly the opposite, I am encouraging you to take your case to CHC if this grows into something big and see if they will be willing to help with it. I sincerely hope you not only prevail but are also able to turn the tables on a case of overreaching authority all in the name of the almighty $. Seems to be a real problem "down south" these days. I say keep your nose clean, your chin held high, and give them 2x the hell they instigated. Hell make it 10x.
