2011-12 Field Trials Schedule?

Do you have the schedule and locations of the 2011-12 Field Trials yet. I am trying to plan my work schedule and hoping to be able to attend some of them this year. Its always fun to participate and see everyone again.

Hope everyone is having a good bear, bobcat, and upcoming fox season so far.

The schedule for 2012 is:
January 7Th and 8Th, the 21st and 22ND,
February 4Th and 5Th, the 18Th and 19Th,
March 3rd and 4Th at Spenceville and we will decide as we get closer to January if they will be 2 day field trials or 1 day pot races and at what area in Spencerville
and March 17Th and 18Th for ELK CREEK

one thing that we are thinking of doing is to have all dogs that are run in the re entrees on Sunday make a finale, the winners go with the winners from Saturday and the ones that don't make up there own finale, so all dogs entered will be able to run for money on Sunday afternoon.

Thanks Dale. Looking forward to them. I am orking on Saturdays now, so I will have t figure out how to get them off for the trials. If not then I will just have to show up on Sunday morning.

where are your normal field trials located at, ie : the january ones i am trying to start coming to more field trials and etc..

There all at the Spencville wild life area accept for the Elk Creek race in March, Signs will be up on Friday afternoon.

All of our events will be at the Spencville Wild Life area 20 miles (+/-) East of Marysville off Hwy 20
Jan. 7 & 8 Jones corral
Jan. 21 or 22, 1 day pot race at the Black powder range, we will have the date posted after the 1st field trial.
Feb. 4 & 5 Jones corral field trial
Feb 18 or 19, 1 day pot race at the Black powder range
March 3 or 4 at Jones corral

Tell me the details on the field trials, I may consider it coming from the south bay area. Any camping here. what co$t envolved new to this.

Hey 1Hogwild

Theres camping on the grounds the gate will be open Friday afternoon, the entree fee is 10.00 for the field trial and 10.00 for the bear race per dog, theres dog water on site but no drinking water, there will be concesions for the weekend, entrees will start at 8:00am Saturday and close at 9:00 so we can get started running races, extra events if we have time on Saturday, we will have our monthly meeting Tuesday night and I'll post changes and updates.

The weather forecast looks great for both days. Drags are at the Jones Corral in the Spencville Wild Life Area, Signs are posted.

We have made some changes to our format: all dogs that run in the re entrees on Sunday, that do not get 1st or 2ND on tree or line will go into there own finale, a consolation race so that all dogs entered will be able to run for money.

We don't have flyers out for this Field Trial only word of mouth, lost our mailing list and will be taking address's at this event for a new list, if any of you know anybody that that might not know about it, let them know, we are expecting over 100 hounds for the race.

If you didn't make it, you missed a pretty good field trial, all but the 40 mph North wind all Saturday afternoon and the dry like August ground with the dust coming off the dogs, we had 156 dogs entered for the 2 day field trial and 25 for the Bear race.
Our next race will be pot race on Sunday January 22 at the Black Powder range in Spencville.

We had alot of fun out there this weekend, Thanks to Dale, Lori, Ann, Garrett, and everyone else who worked all weekend so we could go out and have fun with our dogs. Leah

Alright the pot race will be on Sunday the 22nd at the Black Powder Range in the Spenceville Wild Life Area RAIN OR SHINE there only calling for scatered showers as of now, 8:00 the booth will open and we will be running races by 9:30 or so, these pot races are a lot more layed back and a good place to get a young dog started, and we should be done in time to get home for the 49ers game

Not to bad of a turn out, between the rain and the football game we had about 30 dogs, got them run and had some fun, the next one will be a 2 day field trial on the 4Th and 5Th of February at Jones Corral $800.00 pay out all dogs entered will run in a finale for money, We have pot races or field trials scheduled for every other weekend though ELK CREEK on the weekend of March 17Th and 18Th.
