neck protection for sloppy coon dog
My best catch dog is getting sloppy in his old age. Up until this last year he never got cut up. I figure that you hog boys have the most expertise on neck protection. I'd appreciate any pointers on the best brand-style of neck protection. Thanks.

Lol,
well considering a coon a hog are two different things, I will point you in both directions
The best hog dog gear I have ever run is Hog Wire Cut gear, and if that "Coon" bites through that, hes not a coon but more likely something alot worse.
Any old cut collar from anyone if fine though, you just need something for the coon to chew on, an ugly dog, razorback outfitter, valley creek, boar hunter magazine, the list goes on and on and on.
If you want, their is something called a boar bib, and what that does is cover the the chest and neck of the dog and leaves everything else free for max movement, covers his neck and his chest.

hey thanks CC, ill give those a look for sure. Have you ever had the vests get caught up on the brush and trees and leave your dog out like a sitting duck?

That used to be a problem with the older, primitive vest. I have close to never had that problem. ever
