If any one wants to take one, they are free there are 4 males and 3 females left pure black with white on the chest would like to give them to some one that wants to hunt them becasue i think that they will be one heck of a hunting dog. The male is a pure blood B&T from a guy on here that goes by the name Stone Throw kennel and is out of ken duncans dogs he is a big dog almost 80 lbs and a great lion dog. the female is the most athletic dog that I have ever seen I put my Garmin on her for fun one day and she ran a mile in one min she is also pur blood she is a smale dog about 50 lbs. If you have any qwetions just pm me and I am more than willing to help. They are about 2 weeks old and will be ready for christmas .

The local fox hunt had a GSP x foxhound for 7 or 8 years that hound lead most of their hunts for the seasons he was young and fit enough for.

What I have seen from bird dog xs..... is that they are close hunters but work hard and fast. I would bet these will make good dogs from the description you provided. Good luck with them.

Wow thats 60miles an hour!! Just funning am sure she is fast... maybe it took her 2 minutes to run that mile? hehe

I have a LabXTreeing walker and he is real good on bobcats, greyfox and mtn-lions. He runs silent until right on top of them but barks loud-sharp barks instead of baying most of the time. For bear he usualy uses the hound bay bark instead and will not stick very close to a bad bear in deep brush, I think he is too smart to make a bear dog  . Some times he don't bark much on the tree until he has been there a while 15-20 mins then starts with a slow but loud chop. Most times I arrive to see him intently eyeing the critter like he is hoping it will try to make a run for it.

Truth be known, a lot of grade dogs have pointer, shorthair, or lab somewhere along the way. Thats one reason why they're grade and not registered. More people are running bird dog crosses than realize it. I've had a few over the years and most were mediocre pack dogs, some were better. I had a female plott/lab cross that was full of hate for bears, and would not give up. She was smart as hell and rarely got tore up, but pressured the bears hard and sunk teeth often. The rest of her litter was worthless and were given away as pets. She caught almost every lion I put her on after about three years old. You might have to sort throught some duds in the litter, but I bet a few of them will make some fine hounds.

Like they said in the past comments we will first have to see which ones have the most natural abilities for hunting. The we will just go from there.

Hardtime Speck, one of the most famous English dogs ever to live was a bird dog cross. Give them a try. One of my very best dry ground and all around dogs was 1/2 Jagd terrier and 1/2 Walker. You just never know what will happen. Good luck

Ive bred and raised GSPs for almost 10 years nd hunted them a lot longer. The two main dogs in the breed formation was the bavarian bloodhound nd the french pointer. Mine have always been really good blood trail dogs. An interesting fact is they go back to similar bloodhounds that make up the plotts heritage. Mine do good on any game they are allowed to hunt. I had a bitch who was very vocal on a locate and could timber squirrels like crazy. I wish i still had her. Anyway im with these guys nd think if u are particular and expose the pups i think u will b happy.
