How Do You Store A Hide For A Couple Days??
I'm new to trapping, and I go to this ranch in nevada that has Coons, Beaver, Coyote, Bobcat, and Fox. Next time I go there I plan to trap for a couple days... (Everytime I go there, Its Only For atleast three days) So, What I'm asking is if i were to skin a coon etc. whats the best way to store it until I can get home and tan it?

Just as frog said you can skin it then roll it up fur out, flesh in and put in a bag (I use the plastic bags from walmart and such) then roll it up tight to get all the air you can out of it and freeze. They will keep for a long time like this. You can also freeze them whole with out skinning if you really have to or store in a walk-in till you can skin and put up if you want. If you have no way to freeze the pelts then you will need to put them up as you trap them. Or you could bring a generator and freezer with you many guys do it like that.
If your going to sell the pelts they do not need to be tanned. Just skin, flesh and put up then ship off to sell or sell at your local sale. Most fur buyers want to tan the pelts themselves cause everyone does it there own way.

If you are going to freeze them you need to roll them up FUR OUT. Make sure there is no skin side exsposed or it will freezer burn.

if you leave them laying around the belly will turn blue and the hair will to fall out, and they are not worth a dime.one guy I know Has big freezer he lays them stretched out stacked up paper [butcher] in between, flesh not showing and when he gets a 100 he takes them to Mo and sells them[green].

If the temp is below 50 you can get by with just hanging them where air can circulate around them--- on a nail---but if it will get above that for more than a few hours by all means freeze them..
No need to flesh them to freeze them.
