your better off going to the foothills and west side this late in the season, this county gets hit pretty hard anymore anyway...if you can find a new secret spot you'd be better off.

This time of year, find the acorns and you'll find the bear, don't matter where ya go. :wink:

Hey I was hunting near French creek last year and had a dog disappear.The dog showed up this fall(almost a year later). The shock collar and the tracker where gone but the name tag was still on the dog. I would say houndsman was the culprit. If anyone knows of anything I would be willing to give away a pup or something of value just to find the SOB! I like hunting the plumas and there are definately bears I just want to find the theifs! Come out you cowards

That has to be someone who knows who you are well enough to take one of your dogs and then recognize you again a year later and turn him lose around where you are hunting. That is wierd though.

French creek is in Butte county...
