B.C. Bear Hunt

Post by Brian Chorney »

Just got back from a 7 day bear hunt in B.C.,had an excelent time and the bears were awesome. We caught 6 bears in seven days. Dogs did a great job, even in the hot temperatures. outfitter was awesome and the log cabin we stayed at was pretty cool. we started rigging right from the cabin. Going to back again for sure.

Brian, you caught a good percentage of big bears, strikes or finding tracks?? You should have driven another hour or so and stopped by. Maybe next time?

They were really nice bears for sure. We struck all the bears we ran. It was really dry out there when we were there. I thoughjt the dogs did really good. Next time we go I'll try and look ya up.

Nice job Brian. Anybody up there with you? I haven't talked to Dustin lately, he moved to Naples but I am so busy most of the time I hardly see anyone anymore, waterdaze was about the only time I saw a lot of the guys I know. Maybe we can do it again, the club seems to be dying without it, but I don't have much time to put into helping even though I would like to.

Hey my friend good to hear from ya. I was over there with my outfitter buddy. We are hoping to give it another shot this weekend over there. Hopfully we can go, it's a 10 hour drive to get there. Waterdaze was always a hoot, hope you guys can get it running again. It was about the only time I got to see all you guys.

We are going to try. Good luck if you go back, I have caught a few, had to guide 2 elk hunts in the middle of bear season, kind of put a screwin to my bear season but I will be going on one more bear hunting trip starting next week. Take Care.

Ive only ever seen 2 that remotely resembled a color phazed bear, out of the hundreds that ive seen, but there are alot of bears around here with nice white patches on their chests and what not. Good looking Bears! always wanted to hunt B.C, tried getting a job there and moving out but it was a No Go....
