does heavy lion activity mean no bobcats in area

if the area is full of lions tracks does that mean minimul to no bobcat activity.........

any info would be helpful.

everywhere you go the are lots of lion tracks

I hunted a ranch years ago that was loaded with lions and bobcats didnt seem to mind each other. Andy

thanks for the information twist. new to runnin bobcats.

guys r pretty tight mouthed around here about good places to go run bobcats. which is understanable sure dont wana dump dogs in a guys hunny hole.

coming from washington i am use to hunting in the timber. alot of guys say go to the prairie. but my instincts say go to the hills just stay off lions tracks.

again i appreciate ur info.

Kind of side track question, Will coyotes leave the area when a big Tom is around.

Lol Id dump my dogs right in a guys "honey hole", Im not going to try to piss the guy off but unless its private property everyone is allowed to hunt there. I dont think lions and bobcats mind each other, always seem to find both sets of tracks in the same area.

I find lion and bobcat tracks in the same area all the time. A lion wil travel through numerous different bobcat territories. Visa versa.
On the side point If this is what you are asking about I have found 2 lion kills in the last 10 or so years that I can remember that were bobcats, As far as I can tell so far they seem to be infrequent, just opportunity kills. But given the chance they will feed on them. The ones I have found have been both close to houses or barnyards, and they were both in an unusually hard winters. I think both of them were down there for easier kills and the lion took what he could get. Doesn' t mean that lions run bobcats off in normal conditons though. Hope that helped answer you question.
