going good to bad

Post by coastrangecathunting »

well i have been hunting really hard for the past week and have done faily good for the dogs being out of shape. treed 4 cats the first 3 days i went out . feeling pretty good about the dogs and back into the grove of all i think about is running a cat, i am working out of town so i decided to take the dogs with me to work . hunt in the morning befor daylight, go to work and hunt after work . well the first cat i got after my old male broke his akeelies tendon. 1040.00 . it was a hard decision him being 10 yrs old. its done now and only time will tell. i had him 4 sale this summer for 1000.00 and the best offer i got was 700.00 . guess if i put more into him than i was selling him 4 tells you something about the dog.has anyone had any experince with this happening and how long did it take to heel . were they ever the same.

Ya I had this happen to a bird dog of mine its a crapy deal. From my experiance, my dog was 5 when it happend to him spent every dime I had to get him all taken care of. After he got all healed up I. Started hunting him again he would last all day but the next morning he could bearly get up and move around I would have to give him some doggie drugs to losein him up. I hope he gets better good luck.

Just had the same thing happen to one of my hounds during bear season. He got bit in his ham which also got his achillies, made a tear. Letting it heal naturally, its getting better slowly but surely. Go to this website it will pretty much tell you everything about it very informative. www.tiggerpoz.com Good luck
